Tell Congress: Keep Fueling the Future!
|
When Congress considers the bipartisan Renewable Fuels Reinvestment Act and GREEN Jobs Act of 2010, they’ll determine whether or not we extend tax incentives for the production and use of ethanol. We simply can’t afford for Congress to make the wrong call on this one. We’ve got to keep fueling our future – by passing these bills. Take action to support the bill now. Below is the latest list of Representatives that are co-sponsors (42) to H.R. 4940, the Renewable Fuels Reinvestment Act Representatives introduced in April by Representatives Earl Pomeroy (D-ND) and John Shimkus (R-IL) that extends for five years the Volumetric Ethanol Excise Tax Credit (VEETC) at the existing 45 cents per gallon, the Small Ethanol Producers Tax Credit, and the secondary tariff on imported ethanol. The bill also extends the cellulosic ethanol tax credit to align with the VEETC. First, see if your member of Congress on the list of co-sponsors below.
